Mr. Wenziger has many years of broad professional experience in the planning, engineering and management of large and complex municipal projects. He has been the project manager and licensed professional responsible for a multitude of large-scale public and private development projects, from master planning, engineering and document coordination to specific drainage, sewer, and water master plans, capital improvement programs, and final design. Mr. Wenziger has overseen the completion of entitlement applications and processing, final design and construction for many sites in Northern Nevada. His direct design experience includes roadways and interchanges, flood control projects, commercial and residential site development, water storage and water system design, wastewater treatment facilities conveyance, pump stations, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Mr. Wenziger is well known for his ability to solve large project master plan level issues and bringing projects to a successful conclusion. He is extremely proficient at identifying and focusing on the pertinent issues and coordinating the members of the project team toward successful and effective solutions.

Farr West Engineering
Hawthorne Utilities, Hawthorne, Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared the design and expansion for the Wastewater Treatment facility for the Town of Hawthorne. The design included an anaerobic pond and two facultative ponds with a flow meter, grit chamber, and headworks. The Wastewater Treatment Plant project also included Construction Specifications and Contract Documents. Mr. Wenziger also prepared the sewer master plan and design report to replace approximately 80% of the existing sewer infrastructure for the Town of Hawthorne.
Wood Rodgers, Inc.
Butler Ranch, Lennar Communities, Reno, Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared the preliminary design for a drainage channel with the capacity of approximately 4,000 cfs. Mr. Wenziger also prepared the sewer master plan and report for approximately 1550 residential units and an offsite area of approximately 358 acres. Included in the sewer master plan was a phased design for a sewer lift station and force main.
Eagle Canyon IV Subdivision, Lennar Reno, LLC, Washoe County, Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared improvement plans for a 500 unit subdivision. The improvement plans included mass grading and the design of a storm drain channel and culverts to perpetuate the 100-year event of approximately 1,000 cfs through the project. These plans also included the widening of State Route 445 to incorporate a left turn lane, right turn lane, deceleration lane, and encroachment permit.
Stonefield IV Subdivision, Lennar Reno, LLC, Reno, Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared improvement plans for a 360 unit subdivision. The improvement plans included mass grading, hydrology analysis and the design of a sewer lift station and force main.
Villages of Silver Springs, ERGS Inc., Silver Springs, Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared master plan reports for this subdivision of 700 residential units. The sewer master plan report included analysis and pipe sizing of the 700 units and offsite areas that included residential, commercial, and elementary, middle, and high schools. The hydrology master plan report included storm drain system design, channel design and culvert design. The water system master plan included a future water tank, booster pump, and prv. Mr Wenziger also prepared a master grading plan and modified the road and lot layout to accommodate the changes in grading.
Capital Engineering
Preliminary Verdi Area Water Facility Plan, Boomtown et al, Verdi, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared a preliminary water facility plan that included a residential and commercial areas approximately 1300 acres in size. The water facility plan included developing a hydraulic model using Heastad WaterCad 6.5 software to analyze the water system that incorporated four water storage tanks, five wells, six booster pump stations, and an existing water system tie with Truckee Meadows Water Authority.
North Dayton Sewer Force Main, Landmark Homes, Dayton, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared a master plan for a sewer service area of approximately 2,619 acres. The area included existing and proposed residential and commercial developments. The master plan included the analysis of three existing sewer lift stations and a future plan for lift station upgrades and the phasing out an existing Sewer treatment lagoon system. Produce improvement plans for the construction of 1.5 miles of new 8†PVC force main, redesign the primary sewer lift station site to include flow meter vault and Sodium Hypochlorite tank and the design of approximately 3,280 lineal feet of 21†PVC gravity sewer main.
Dayton Valley Water Distribution Modeling, Lyon County Utilities, Dayton, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared a water system model for the existing water system for the town of Dayton, population approximately 25,000 people. Mr. Wenziger maintained and updated water system model as new developments came online and provided system upgrade recommendations to the governing agency. Provide system analysis and detailed reports as expansion occurs for private developers.
Dayton Six Mile Canyon Water Transmission Main, Lyon County Utilities, Dayton Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared improvement plans and report for approximately 11,800 lineal feet of 12†PVC water transmission main. The analysis included the existing water storage tank system and hydropneumatic system. The design included transmission main line size and the design of the pressure reducing station for the hydropneumatic system and preparation of Construction Specifications and Contract Documents.
Old Town Dayton Water Transmission Main, Lyon County Utilities, Dayton Nevada: Mr Wenziger prepared improvement plans and Construction Specifications and Contract Documents for approximately 10,000 lineal feet of 12†PVC water transmission main. The improvement included analysis of the existing water storage tank system.
Six Mile Canyon 1.5 MG Water Storage Tank, Lyon County Utilities, Dayton Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared improvement plans for 1.5 MG water storage tank. Plans included tank, tank foundation, piping details, pad grading, access road grading, and main line. Project never went to construction stage.
Dayton Valley Golf Course Effluent Management Plan, Dayton Valley Investors, Dayton, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared a management plan utilizing effluent water to supplement the well water for irrigating the Dayton Valley 18-hole golf course. The plan included analysis of the existing well water use and existing pond storage, and regulating pond levels. The management plan also included an adjusted fertilizer plan, winterization plan, and a grading plan for storm runoff prevention.
U.S. Hwy 50 and Kingsbury Grade (SR 207) - Hydrology & Hydraulics, Prim & Associates, Stateline, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared improvement and site plans for a commercial development. Plans included right-hand turn and deceleration lane at the intersection of SR 207 and U.S. Hwy 50, driveway entrances from both state highways, and a bus turnout. The site grading for the commercial buildings and parking area included the hydrology analysis that incorporated the use of a Stormceptor for storm water treatment and downstream discharge.
Sommersett Country Club, Pump Station and Pond Storage, Sommersett Development, Reno, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared pumping and pond storage plan for utilizing untreated river water for irrigation of the Sommersett Country Club 9-hole and 18-hole golf course. The plans included a pump upgrade for the existing Truckee River pump station, design of a second pump station at the 9-hole golf course and a third pump station design at the 18-hole golf course. The plans also included storage pond level monitoring and winterization plan
Kings Canyon/Ash Canyon Creek subdivision and Flood Plain Analysis, DGD Development, Carson City, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared improvement plans for a 44 unit subdivision. The improvement plans included water system analysis report to insure adequate fire flow protection. Hydrology and hydraulics included analysis of the existing 100-year flood plain through the site, design of new channel section and culverts to perpetuate the 100-year flows and show adequate protection for the residence against flooding.
Long Ranch Estates subdivision and Flood Plain Analysis, DGD Development, Carson City, Nevada: Mr. Wenziger prepared improvement plans for a 90 unit subdivision. The improvement plans included hydrology and hydraulics analysis of the 100-year flood plain, culvert design, storm drain design, and detention design.
